the Xbox is truly one of the best gaming consoles out there today if not the best. However I have a bone to pick with Microsoft. When I took my first Xbox home, I was upset to find out that the red ring around the power button was blinking red. After doing a little bit of research I found out that this was common among many Xbox consoles. They even had a term for it. The red rain of death. Fortunately my system was under full warranty from Best Buy, or was it the future shop I can't remember which, anyway I returned it and was able to get a new system that works correctly.

My research showed me that only two to 3% of PlayStation 3 consoles break whereas nearly 20% of the Xbox consoles tend to break. I must say leave it to the Japanese to create a very reliable product.

Anyway I don't own the PS3 and I am very happy with my Xbox, but I would advise everybody who buys a brand-new Xbox that they must get the extended warranty. These machines made by Microsoft tend to be a lot more fragile.
